Vania performs solo and group choreography throughout the greater Seattle community.
As a featured dancer for Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center inaugural African American Master Choreographer series, featuring choreography by Kabby Mitchell, her entrance in the performance of Beautiful/Ugly, May 2007 was deemed by Mitchell as, “indelible in my mind”. He described her overall performance as “…a remarkable dance presence for the audience that was inspirational and a pleasure to behold.” |
Vania has taught students from ages 6-Adult. She has taught at Northwest Tap Connection, Ballet Bellevue School, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, Rotary Boys And Girls Club, the Definitive Dance studio, and most recently at the Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center. She conducted community dance workshops with 6th Day Dance Company , Irene’s School of Dance in Silverdale, WA, and Spectrum Dance Theatre. |
Vania has choreographed for Jerboa Dance, the Hal Jackson Talented Teen of Washington Scholarship Competition, Eastside Lyric Opera, and New Beginnings Christian Fellowship (Renton, WA), where she is the Director of the Adult Liturgical Dance Ministry. Her expressive and moving choreography is also the centerpiece of her self-produced productions. |
